Paul McCartney's RAM is the best and most consistent thing I've heard.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

John Lennon for me. John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band is by far the best work post-Beatles.

I love a lot of each solo members work. Even though John had consistantly made a lot better solo albums than Paul over the 40+ years Paul has made solo work there have been more stuff I have enjoyed so there's logic for you. And he has actually made a lot of great records, McCartney...RAM...Band On The Run.. the list goes on. George's career nosedived a bit in the mid 70s but I've looked the majority of his work. Ringo... well, I liked the self-titled album and Time Takes Time but otherwise other than the odd song his solo career is 90% dud. Sorry Ringo . Paul takes it for me for unfair majority output.

John got too political for me. Don't like being preached at. Paul and Ringo were a bit too light. George seemed to be about right. Not too light or too heavy. But for sheer volume, Paul wins hands down.

It seems to me that they had a synergy together that wasn't there after they broke up. I think their lack of musical sophistication told on them. Somehow together, though, they couldn't be beat. I think George Martin is largely responsible for that.
