Yes, they're definitely metal. I generally hate the way people misuse the label "industrial" but if there's one band that really could be described as industrial metal, it's Godflesh. I also read a review of one of their albums a long time ago that described them as "slow motion death metal". I always liked that.

i agree with Swans but i don't think Christian Death should be ignored for darkness and 80s

It was neither the darkest (there was a lot of black and death metal going on at the time) nor the most ground breaking since Korn's sound was basically a mix between Ratm,Faith No More and Primus. Just check out songs like "Bullet In The Head" and "My Name is Mud". However it was a very solid album and countless other bands later on tried to copy Korn's musical recipe without getting it right.

korns new album will be killer icant wait to pick it up. if there are any x korn fans this might be the album to get i guess it supposed to blend the old with the new but sound current in terms of production magic
