That is true. im a little tired of all the high pitched screaming on that album. the music is definetly better with a good low pitched, heavy growl. it just backs it up so much better. good job overall though.

I've only heard 'writing on the wall' off their new album, and it does seem heavier, and the screaming seems to be more growly than 'they're only chasing saftey' but i think it suits. especially the part in writing on the wall, where it says 'we walk alone' i think that metal style scream suits it well. I like all of the stuff i've heard, and from that tune, i think they're latest album will be good too.

I thought they were going back to their roots but I don't know.
It's a tossup because of Salmarnir or whatever.
Remove keyboards dammit.
And seriously, where the **** did Dallas Taylor go?
That aside, I wish they would go back to the metal.
Spencer could handle it.
But they're much too popular to do that now.
Define the Great Line sounds a little more alternative rock with hints of nu-emo strewn throughout.
AofD and CofP were great, CofTimes not so great.
And TOCS, well, sucked.
Just my opinion.

Define The Great Line comes out in only 2 days, unless you're one of the people who got an unmastered copy a while back. I'm so excited for this cd, everyone that got an unmastered copy said it's way better than We're Only Chasing Safety which I liked quite a bit. Check out their purevolume http://www.purevolume.com/underoath to hear some of the songs that will be on the new album.

I agree it's a lot better than the last album, which was total crap in my opinion. Though it isn't old UnderOATH, it shows a growth in the new members, and sounds excellent.

The last album was called They're Only Chasing Safety, and I did like it but they were getting way too poppy and trying to hold there ground as a hardcore band. They have been changing their sound too much, but now I like the direction they went in with this new album. I realize they have had a lot of line-up changes but I really like what they got out of this album. It's a solid album.

I think my favorite song is A Moment Suspended In Time, I don't like how they used that one song as just a Psalm read in Russian that was stupid. Yea it is a lot heavier and they have some sweet breakdowns on this album.

I liked the Russian part, meh, to each his own. The breakdowns are great, I think they repeated the same a couple of times though. My favorite song is probably You're Ever So Inviting, either that one or Everyone Looks So Good From Here.
