Like, one of the only melodic death metal albums worth listening to.

Give me recs then. In Flames are awesome, At the Gates are gods, Heartwork is a masterpiece, but other than that I flail.

I was gonna recommend sone stuff a la Dismember that might not be "melodic death metal" but is death metal with a nice focus on melody, thought you'd be interested... But then you mention all the standards and I gotta redirect my train of thought. So I'm coming back with that don't worry

Have you listened to Edge of Sanity?

I have. Not much and not in a while, but yes I know of them and am pretty sure they're on my hard drive... yup, but just Crimson. And yes Dismember is awesome.

Oh wait. I just remembered I've been meaning to listen to Mercenary. I've heard they're a badass, non-Soilwork-esque melodic DM band.
