So what? Effects pedals sound really f*cking cool, this purist attitude towards guitarists who use a lot of effects is so dumb. I thought we moved past this attitude.

Maybe the 900th best white blues rock guitarist of the '70s if we're being generous, that's the nicest thing I can say about him.

They sure do. They're great for certain things but they tend to mask imperfections and can generally be used as a crutch for guitar players that aren't technically proficient. Like Tom.

That's an interesting "nugget" of information!

As for effects pedals, I'm ok with them. The Edge does a good job with them. Satchel of Steel Panther has the coolest names for his pedals.
