This is anathema to me. Nothing's Shocking is excellent. A classic.
Ritual de lo habitual is possibly even better but if so, it's very close.

Also, I recently happened upon a used CD of their s/t live album and bought it without hesitation. It's pure JA and I needed a hard copy.

Most people don't, but I actually like "Mountain Song". "Been Caught Stealing" is cool, too. Thanks to GTA:San Andreas and Guitar Hero:Warriors of Rock, I know that song pretty well.

I'd go the other direction, Ritual is close but not better. I find there's a bit too much filler on that one. Then She Did... and Of Course don't need to be 7-8 minutes long each. They could have trimmed those tracks down to reasonable lengths thereby increasing their impact and found room to fit Kettle Whistle, Whores, or Slow Divers into the album.

Saw them live on Palladia over the weekend from a recent concert. They still sound great live, but I agree the new record is low on highlights.

Didn't even know they released another album, Perry must have been short on cash again.

Ritual de lo Habitual is my absolute favourite by them, particularly the second half of the album. 'Three Days'. 'The She Did...' and 'Classic Girl' are absolutely amazing songs. Nothing's Shocking is not too far behind it.

Three Days is my favorite off Ritual its has that eerie quality to it. And I love the subtle bass line I always loved Erics bass lines. I also think Nothing's a fantastic album. The new album has a couple decent tracks, but its nothing to write home about.

It's probably my favourite song off the album as well, either that or "Stop". I like how it ties in with the theme of the album cover as well. Yeah I always loved that bass line but it's Dave Navarro's guitar playing that makes the song for me.
