Default Roger Daltrey's voice

Any one heard Roger sing since he had work done on his throat? The last few times I have heard him, the voice was a little rough. (Super Bowl, VH1, last album)

He's almost 70 years old, of course he sounds a bit rough.

No, I think he sounds too bad (circa the Super Bowl). There are other old singers whose voices have held up much better.

Such as? I thought The Who sounded just fine at the superbowl. Probably not as solid a performance as Prince, but Daltrey sounds fine to me. Of course over time you lose range but he can still belt. Name another person approaching 70 that sounds even remotely as good?

Dio. Not a voice I enjoy hearing, but he maintained his voice much better than Daltrey. Too bad he didn't maintain his innards well.

I hope Daltrey is singing better now like he says, but I haven't heard. Maybe when I see him on a Palladia concert, to evaluate on a good sound system.
