I'm still confused about how being able to produce a lot of original music only counts if you're famous.

If a tree falls in the desert and there are no vultures there to hear it, does the oasis cry out in pain?

I knew you would get the right answer. I'd take your band over any on the list and also include Fleetwood Mac.

I'll take a shot. Honestly I haven't listened to Mac in about twenty years. From what I remember Buckingham is an above average guitarist and I think the drumming and the bass is while painfully average integral to the songwriting. I think Nicks vocals really created an atmosphere for the music and she has the penultimate rock n roll chick voice with the gravel and beautiful tone. Mcvie is the polar opposite vocally but somehow her soft hearted approach added another fantastic dynamic to the music. As for Rumours its considered one of the greater achievements of 70's songwriting and the sales kind of speak to how well it was received at the time.
