Abbey Road. Not to say that I don't like Let It Be. I love both albums.

Abbey Road exists, in one way, because of Let It Be.

The story I always heard... Let It Be was recorded first, but was such a mess, they were all unsatisfied with it, and so called up Sir George and asked him, make one final album with us.

Altho apparently the last ever "beatles" recording session was an over-dub that appeared on Let It Be. It was only George Ringo and Paul, John had already told them all to F off. Technically the last recording session with all 4 was a vocal overdub for something on Abbey Road.

Let It Be was ruined by Phil Spector, who was past his glory days at this point. He tried to apply the Wall of Sound to the Beatles, and it didn't work. The best tracks on that album are the ones where you don't even notice Phil.

Abbey Road is not only vastly superior to Let It Be, it's the best post Epstein album.
