Best song: Four Sticks.

Yeah, I heard that every night after practice they would go down to the local pub. At the end the night they would draw straws to see who will pay for the tab. They did it so often they thought it would be wonderful to name a song after that. The working title was "Four Straws" but changed it to "Four Sticks" cause it sounded better.:beer:

Nope.

Bonham had read a review of Ginger Baker's Air Force where the writer was raving about the fact that Baker was using 2 bass drums. Bonham rightfully griped that he could do more with a single bass drum than Baker could do with 2. The next day when it came time to record his track for the yet untitled song he growled something along the lines of, let's see Baker try this - and then played it with two drumsticks in each hand.

Michael Lee would do the same during the No Quarter tour.

No Quarter
That’s one of the most overlooked records of all time.

Saw them play it at the Boston Garden in 1995. First show Page and Plant had done there since 1973.

Most electric show I've ever attended. Non-stop goosebumbs. And the 18+K crowd was completely insane the entire night.

He's holding two sticks in each hand, that's crazy baby.

That’s cool. That material is the best post-zep stuff ever including jpj with diamanda galas. I think it’s really LZ quality or very close.

Why the **** am I agreeing with you so much lately? It's disorienting.

For this tour P&P brought the middle eastern musicians along but would hire local orchestra peeps at each stop. For the Garden shows it was BSO folks.

There was this one really older violinist who looked bored and annoyed at the start of the show. By the time they got to Kashmir the guy was rocking out harder than Jimmy.

Priceless!
