omg wait I suddenly got a rec idea which I should have had ages ago. It's a gamble because it's punk, so I have no idea whether you'll like it or not, but I think it's worth a try:

they also did a Doors cover:

Also, two more recs for this thread:
The La's, tuneful 60s-like pop from the 90s

and The Late Great Townes Van Zandt, American country music

edit: oh also, have you ever listened to Blondie? If not, then I recommend their first album
I've heard just one song by The La's (There She Goes). Townes Van Zandt doesn't sound familiar to me. I've heard Parallel Lines by Blondie but I don't know if that was their debut album or not

OK, I'll listen to it. I was writing a review for the member's journal, and, damn, I'm so tired right now, and that's why I answered so late
And thanks again for all the suggestions, Marie!

I noticed through the thread you like Neil Young. This isn't Neil Young, but this band has some great harmonies that remind me of him in some ways.

Well, thanks, tbh I really liked that A LOT! I mean, the harmonies are like really really good and the song in general is OK, you're right, reminds be a bit of Neil Young, too. And the band seems to be like something from the 2010's, right?

Btw, in the members' journal, if i write a review, can people answer me? Like, I'm looking at some of the other members' threads, and they write tons of stuff and almost no one answers them, that's a bit
Yes, I think the video I posted is from 2008 from their debut album but they were together well into the 2010's

And, yes. I've already responded to your Carole King review, in fact.

Thought of another rec. You may not like this as well as Fleet Foxes, but it has a nice late 60s/early 70s feel to it. From 2009

Yeah, I saw you answered me, thanks.
As for the song, I've heard, and I liked it, too. What is really surprising, is where you guys find out about all these modern bands. And I mean bands like this one or Fleet Foxes, not talkin' about Imagine Dragons or Maroon 5. Like, I'm 15 and obviously know about the currentpopular artists and songs they have, but I don't know any of these bands, unless people on MusicBanter get me introduced to their music lol

Some of them I found while exploring on YouTube. I also checked out sites like RateYourMusic and if something sounds interesting, I might give it a listen, usually on YouTube but I have Spotify too. Of course, I have the advantage of having collected for well over forty years now (I told you, I'm an old man )

I use these sites, too. In fact I've just posted my review on rateyourmusic. The problem is that the recomendations I get on every site are bands from 40 years ago, the only time I got something kind of "modern" was Greta Van Fleet, but I didn't really like them. They're OK, but I think they'll soon be forgotten due to obvious reasons (mainly because they don't have their own "sound" yet). I hope I'm mistaken. Some say they're a direct rip-off of Led Zeppelin. I don't really agree with that, but still don't like them very much. Here's a song in which the singer's voice sounds A LOT like Robert Plant's, specially hitting the high notes:

However, if they come to Spain again, I'll buy tickets to see them. I hope they find their own style and have success, cause right now everyone thinks they're the greatest young rock band at this moment

If you like the modern 70's rock revival thing, Dino Jelusick sounds awesome on his various projects.

Happy Birthday Eleanor! You bring the sunshine back into our grey little lives!

By the way, don't worry: nobody writes reviews like I do. Not even me. I'm done with that now. I used to obsess over every note and lyric, but I did that for about seven years and I'm all reviewed out now. I have other things to obsess about these days!

Best of luck with your journal; I dropped a comment into it tonight and will be keeping an eye on it. You go, girl!
