who the f*ck said Downward Spiral was good just because of Hurt? Of the 14 songs on that cd, I can think of 12 that are better than Hurt.

Riseagainstrocks, if you want MY recommendation, I'd stay away from the Fragile and give Pretty Hate Machine and the rest of The Downward Spiral a listen. I promise you, you won't be disappointed. :)

I really think Pretty Hate Machine and The Downward Spiral are worth every penny. I would listen to these albums, before any critics make...

...not to mention that The Downward Spiral was a superb album, and if you've heard it through, I don't think you'd be questioning Trent Reznor's songwriting ability.
