Well like I said, I wouldn't go to a festival unless I was sure there's at least one band I really like playing. Especially if it's a big festival and isn't that close or costs money. It's a hassle...

Um, no, live music doesn't have to be a good experience, it can also be boring or just plum annoying. I'd avoid making the trip if you're not into the bands, unless it's right outside your door.

More often than not, the music sounds ten times...

More often than not, the music sounds ten times better live...and most bands don't change the music so drastically that you'd dislike it...in my experience at least.
