Well, I think the laws have changed a bit. But, if memory serves, owning a rom is completely legal if you own a copy of the game. Plus, emulators are 100% legal.

Xenosaga isn't quite what Xenogears was. Less likable characters, and it pads the sheer visceral darkness of Xenogears down a tad.

Albeit, I hear Xenoblade is quite good.

Gorgeous game, fairly early in, looking to be way better than the disappointment Farenheit/Indigo Prophecy ended up being.
