It's funny because Gabriel's first solo record doesn't sound anything like the final albums he did with Genesis, and he has barely acknowledged them since.

Eh. I think Peter was too pretentious to be in a band. It was all about him all the time, and at times, Genesis sounded hostile (which matched the rising tension in the band).
