I'm pretty sure he's got a looper set to dub. You'll set down a rhythm ground track, then dub melody, counter-harmony, and counter-melody in that order.

Am I barking up the wrong tree?

1. PC latency makes me look away from that as a core device.
2. I'm using several controllers which have no soundbanks.
3. I don't particularly want a keyboard cluttering up the place uselessly....
