Far East Suite is my favorite Ellington album of all, Marie. First album to bring drummer Rufus "Speedy" Jones's exotic rhythms to the fore. Thanks for rejuvenating my love of Duke - he was truly "beyond category".

It's Time by Max Roach

Missed posting this on his bday, but i've been listening to him and Art Blakey a lot these past few weeks. I believe the true MB-ers would call this particular album "unassailable"

I have a copy. I played it once and my girlfriend put her headphones in immediately. Sign of a great record right thurr.
