Frankly, I think Taking Liberties (his collection of B-sides mostly) was much better. Anyway, he made up for it with the following five albums (Imperial Bedroom to Blood and Chocolate and the three in-between)

EDIT: Note, I omitted Almost Blue. I don't really put it that in the class of his other albums simply because I'm not really that much into country. Have a lot of respect for what he was trying to do though.

Steven Wilson - To the Bone

Steven Wilson - The Future Bites

The former of these was a real letdown after the brilliance of Hand. Cannot. Erase. I eventually decided there was still enough good material there to make it worth having.

The Future Bites was an even bigger disappointment and I am not sure I wish to own that one. It's not the fact that he has gone so far in the direction of pop that I mind, rather the fact that it's dull pop.

I am waiting with a certain amount of trepidation to hear what the upcoming album from the reformed Porcupine Tree will be like.

McCartney III was a disappointment.

Paul is my favourite Beatle and one of my all-time life/music inspirations.
When I've heard he's recording again on his own, like he did McCartney I and II, and most of RAM, I was supper happy and hyped up.

Then the album came out, and I liked most of the songs, but I just found them quite forgettable. Or maybe rather not-so-exciting.

I guess the album just didn't live up to the hype they made around it

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.
