I just listened to it and wasn't really into it. Far too safe imo and for how much you said you value production I'm surprised at how much the mix detracted from most of the songs. I will say that I strongly advise against the campfire guitar on Frostbite. It Was Cold had some interesting guitar ideas and I didn't think that the album was bad persay, but that's about the extent of positive things I have to say about it. It's not a style that I have any interest in beyond Loveless and Swirlies though, so maybe someone else can give you some more valuable input on the record.

Is there anything in particular that you would say makes you stand out in the shoegaze scene?

Aye thanks for the write up. I do wonder what you mean by the campfire guitar tho. I'd say this stands out particularly because we're full functioning band completely formed on the internet. Also the mix of art rock with shoegaze is something I've personally never really seen explored.

(Also if it we're up to me this EP would have been more experimental but oh well.)

The next EP is gonna be a mix of R&B, trip hop, shoegaze, power pop, rap, and experimental electronic music so that might be more up your alley.

It might just be that art rock is too ambiguous of a term, but I always considered shoegaze to be under that umbrella.

So basically you're a god damn shoegaze band and might as well still be a ****ing dream pop band.

Dream pop album of 2018 sounds like a backhanded compliment tbh.

No we're a shoegaze band. There's no pop on this. Why does dream pop get your panties in a twist?

Because why in the absolute fuck is such a dull genre still kicking? The "dreamy" element of the genre has become more cliched than...something that's really cliched and wasn't that great to begin with.

Look you can tell me that Slowdive isn't a great band. I agree yeah most dream pop is boring but come on Slowdive is incredible.
