Anyone ever gone through an extended lack of desire to make new material?

I’m going on 2 years since an album release which is easily the longest period since I was like 17. I pumped out a ton from 2012-2016 but have not had anything really come to me since

I used to release an album every month or two but now I don't even feel the motivation to work on a track these days. Though I am working on one atm, abum that is. It might suck tbh.

I always thought you just turned on your microphones and violently had intercourse with every instrument in your house and thats just how you recorded your albums
