Default The MB Musicians' Genre Extravaganza

Simple idea:
Every MB musician who wants to participate gets a genre randomly assigned and has to record a track that corresponds to it.

I'd suggest that we keep the genres as general as possible to add variety and to give everyone enough creative space.
So:
Metal
Blues
Jazz
Pop
Punk
Folk

Since I kinda doubt that more than five people will participate, I'll keep it at that for now.

Deadlines and details to be decided collectively.

Who's in?

Currently in (including the maybes):
grindy
MicShazam
Frownland
Blank.
Lucem Ferre
Mondo Bungle

First of hopefully many rounds:
grindy - Jazz
MicShazam - Punk
Frownland - Pop
Blank. - Ambient
Lucem Ferre - Blues
Mondo Bungle - Metal
elphenor - Folk

Deadline: June 10th

I'm in.

Can we add classical, or is that too difficult for those who have to actually play it? (I'm just programming my music, so I could pull it off in theory.)

You're right. The posted genres probably cover what's needed at first anyway.

Maybe we can add a folk or electronic round? Current list would be fine too tbh.

Cool.

Folk would be good. I'll add it.
Depending on how many participate, nobody might get it or some of the others of course.
Electronic would be a bit limited for those who want to use instruments.

Folk = totally.

With electronica, I was thinking it might be hard if some just play their guitar.
I guess they could manipulate the recording afterwards, in which case ambient is also totally up for grabs.

EDIT: Grindy already on the ball
