yes, i was pretty into this sub-genre

i love Harold Melvin and The Bluenotes, The Delfonics, The Chilites and the Detroit Spinners (though they're not from Philly, they share a similar sound)

Arrow Boyz II Men

Listening to their song 4 Seasons of Loneliness has always been a guilty pleasure of mine along with I'll make love to You, End of the Road and others as well. One of the great vocal bands out of "Philly". They were quite popular at one time.

"Thank You" is a killer (vocal) song also. Great music to have available with a candle light dinner by the fireplace while having a glass of wine with that special one.

I personally prefer Boyz II Men over Hall & Oats if the mood and vibe I'm looking for is more relaxed, easy listening and romantic.

Maybe a little "Sade" waiting on the side.

Arrow Hall & Oats

Hall & Oats have attempted somewhat of a come back during the last year or so.

Do you think they should retire? I guess maybe it's the younger new fans is what the fuss is all about.

I really liked them back when they were popular during the 80s. Maybe I am just burnt out on their music now days (overplayed).

Don't get me wrong, I think they're a great band.

I've been enjoying the new Delfonics album, Adrian Younge Presents the Delfonics. It's basically producer/arranger Adrian Younge with Delfonics' vocalist/songwriter William Hart, and some fine background singers. Best thing released under the Delfonics name in over 40 years.

I was unsure of this thread until I saw this post. I have a box of 45s I haven't really had the chance to play much of yet, but that record label is everywhere in there. I believe most of it is the same artist, The O'Jays, I think.

discovered TSOP back in the early 70s, I have got stacks of singles, used to buy them without even listening to them.
