Ten soul albums I can't live without are?

I mean Hall & Oates kinda sticks out like a sore thumb, not because they're not one of my guilty pleasures, which they are, but because they are pretty far removed from the soul genre. A lesser but similar argument could be made for Simply Red, but hey... Great list, actually.

idk, when i listened to that album, i felt that they retained some elements of the genre, at least i thought so. or maybe they're to soul what disco was to funk, i guess.

but yeah, anything else you'd reccomend me then?

Well apart from the sleeve cover it was a landmark album. One of those albums in every genre that influences others for years to come.
