I agree he is good, but I hate when the soundtrack becomes a vehicle for his music to the exclusion of other music used in the movie.

The loss of this gem is a prime example:



Because Disney owns the rights to the song, it will never see its way onto an album, as it was written by the artist, unless they find a use for it in another movie.

The fans have made some really good renditions of the song based on what is played in the movie, but I'd still love to hear it as the artist intended.

Absolutely agree with that one^

For newer stuff, Tron Legacy was really good. It even inspired a song from me (just the first half of this, it's called Clues Demise):
