It figures, three power failures at critical moments,,,very disappointing, I think Germany got lucky, Turkey had them on the ropes in the first half. If the Germans play like this again they will probably lose for sure. Tomorrows score Russia 3, Spain 2. Both Germany and Spain seem to have lost something, Germany got lucky but I think Spain used all their luck beating the Flopping Italians. Sorry but they are the worst divers in Football period!

Sorry "Loser",,,but I watched the last 4 world cups and Italy simply plays the game the wrong way,,,it worked against France, but the style they play just rubs me the wrong way. LOL,,,it's my hockey playing background the only way I go down is if someone knocks me down for real,,,it's a matter of pride.

Plenty of players dive. I think soccer (futball) today has been dominated by a bunch of diving, past players never did that type of stuff. I guess it'd the modern era's identity of the game...I mena Italy does it a bunch of times but I can name alot of others who do it too.

It's not so much the diving, it's the feigning injury that really annoys me. Drogba's the worst at it.

I agree totally Beany, and I wasn't saying only the Italians dive, but they are the best at it when it comes to WC or the Euro Cup. And if Garrard and Owen were playing and flopping/diving/feigning injury then I would give them some stick as well. It is simply no good for football no matter which team you are cheering for. I'm sure the old veterans who watch the newer brand of dramatic football feel strongly about it too.

Only since it was recognised that cheating/diving are the margins that games are won and lost at a high level.
Ferguson himself recognised this as fact and instructs his players to do likewise in big games, especially in Europe.
Generally speaking, it's a continental trait that's infected the English game over the years.
The Italians have it down to a fine art and actually practice 'simulation' and where a good dive that gets a penalty is admired.

Whatever happened to fair play?

Hope tonight's Russia v. Spain semi is as good as last nights.
