Yeah but they seem to think by having it it automaticaly means they should win and imo they have no reason to be very confident. I fear tonight is going to be men and against boys as Italy have the natural grit that our pampered primadonnas don't.

Yeah, so your issue is with them not following through. Its just you made it sound as though you took issue with the England team claiming to have confidence and talking themselves up, which just seemed like an odd thing to have a problem with.

And I for one enjoyed the game last night, and I watched it in the early hours if the morning, nursing an oncoming hangover whilst already knowing the score.

I can respect a dominating performance. Spain never looked like losing and always looked in control. I just thought that for an entertainment value, it was like pulling teeth.

I am a nerdy football fan, so watching Spain is always enthralling to me. It's not exciting, but it is beautiful and fascinating.

Tonight is difficult to predict. Both teams are evenly matched as far as I'm concerned and a lot will depend on the formation Italy adopts. If they play with three at the back I fear we'll be overrun in midfield, Gerrard and Parker can't have that much left in the tank after their all-action performances so far. If England can keep it tight, we have the players on the bench to hurt them, and Rooney will have to be on it too. If I had to call it, I'd say Italy to win 1-0, but I'm desperate for us to prove me wrong.

I think Italy are a far superior team in all areas. Parker and Gerrard are going to get schooled by Pirlo today, and it will be quite hilarious watching them chase shadows.

They scraped through one of the easiest groups in the tournament. Italy won't school anybody.
It'll be a tight game with maybe one mistake deciding it.
