had lance come out and actually admitted to and or had the USADA presented concrete proof of him using PEDs my posts here would be completely different

my main argument here is that the USADA should have absolutely no rights to strip him of anything and that it should be decided by said events and their committees

i honestly think that Lance probably is guilty....but i do believe in the old "innocent until proven guilty" saying....and i can't stand public convictions like this

as far as what Unknown Soldier is saying....i was also fairly shocked when Frank went down for doping.....and me personally agree 100% with allowing blood doping in the grand tours but am against using drugs.....this race (the Tour De France) is unmatched in all other sporting events and the idea that adding red blood cells to allow the body to endure and recover quicker in my opinion is not cheating.....this is of course my opinion and obviously many people disagree with me....when this years tour was going on a friend of my asked me what they do on the rest days....my reply was "get blood transfusions and go for a ride"

a couple years ago i rode my bike to a bar here in Reno to watch the opening stage which just happened to fall on July 4th.....afterwards i went on a short 30 mile ride and rode out to my uncle's house for a family get together....keeping in mind that my family is quite large and all good ole cowboy types so when i show up in my bib and jersey harmless comment commence....i was chatting with a cousins new boyfriend and he asked me if Neil Armstrong was racing this year....i just smiled and said yes but it would likely be his last and he told me that Neil Armstrong is the best human being to ever ride a bike and i just said yep that man has rode to the moon and back

The cooperation of Hincapie was first reported by the New York Times during this year's Tour de France, was confirmed by a Yahoo! Sports' source on Monday, and appears to be a potential catalyst in Armstrong's choice to cease further legal challenges against USADA, which on Thursday stripped him of his seven Tour de France titles.
"The evidence that we've received over the last few months was just overwhelming, unfortunately," USADA chief Travis Tygart told the Dan Patrick Show on Monday. "Lance Armstrong and the other participants on the U.S. Postal Service pro cycling team participated in a very professionalized and sophisticated doping program all aimed to win."

So does this now mean that Lance Armstrong is no longer recognized a seven times winner of the Tour de France in the USA BUT is recognized everywhere outside the USA? As surely only the official Tour de France body can strip him of those titles? Also when he won those titles, he largely lived outside the USA I believe, which actually makes the so called crime not taking place on US soil!!! To throw a spanner in the works the USADA are now saying if he had co-operated he could've kept 5 of those titles.

Anybody watching La Vuelta 2012? After today's time-trial there are four contenders and really looking forward to the mountain stages. Contador, Froome, Rodriguez and Valverde are going to be in a battle royal.

unfortunately i only stage updates on facebook and i can watch clips on youtube....it certainly looks like a much better race than this years tour was

It was a great stage yesterday with 3 mountains and a superb victory by race leader Rodriguez after Contador had seemingly put in his final winning attack, only to die at the death. Froome started the final climb badly but recovered and put in a late surge but just didn't have the legs, I think he used up all his reserves in the Tour. Valverde finished amongst the leaders and actually started the fireworks up the final climb, today is even a tougher finish as the hit the "Lagos de Covadonga" one of the most revered climbs in La Vuelta historically.

Have to say that the 2012 La Vuelta was one of the best major tours that I've seen in years and an amazing victory by Alberto Contador ahead of Alejandro Valverde and Joaquim Rodriguez.

Yesterdays "Mens Elite Road Race" was thrilling as always and a powerhouse victory by Phillipe Gilbert, the man is surely one of the greatest ever classics riders.
