My health has actually improved substantially over the summer from 20,000 km on the bike, probably a quarter of that mileage being off-roading and trail riding. Wrestling 300 lb dirt bikes up and down mountains is actually a hell of a workout for your legs, core, and arms. I've lost about 15 or 20 pounds since I started riding without adjusting my diet at all (which includes a lot of pizza, pasta, and beer, though I still do pay attention to calorie intake most days).

the best or the one to get you to do it the most? because the best it High intensity interval training, basically getting your heart rate up and then resting for 30-60 seconds and then repeating that. jump roping would be a wonderful HIIT exercise. one minute on, one minute off

BUT the best could be the one that gets you to go the furthest with your exercise, the one that you'll be excited to do and most likely repeat long term. like a sport

I love hiit training, I get quite bored easily so like doing different circuit based stuff.

I much prefer outdoor sports now though like horse riding, mountain biking or trail running.

I work in a gym and I barely ever use it

I voted for outside, walking or running and such but I think if I only have to choose one I think swimming is the best sport for the body, the muscles ... and the heart.
