If I'm not mistaken, if Hull lose and West Ham hang on to their lead, that's Hull basically relegated isn't it? Burnley are gonna need maximum points from their last games to stand a chance of staying up, which I really can't see happening. It's a shame Burnley are basically doomed though - I actually quite liked them before Owen Coyle left for Bolton, and really fancied them to be a surprise package of the season.

I'm not too sure, that half of the table isn't my expertise. But from what I've seen this year, Burnley are doomed. They've looked really poor ever since Coyle left (I think he's a right prick for leaving, but there you go)

It'll be nice to see Newcastlol back. I want Leeds back as well, I miss Leeds vs United. I want Blackburn and West Ham to leave the league.

Yeah thats Hull down. All 3 points for us there today makes sure of that. Mathematically it isnt official yet but its too steep a mountain to climb now, even if other results go their way.

I think that probably keeps Wigan up too. Dont they just need to Burnley to lose their game in hand?

Yeah, Owen Coyle really went down in my estimations when he left for Bolton. I mean, you'd expect him to show at least a bit more loyalty than that eh. And why on earth they picked Brian Laws as his replacement is beyond me (and just about everyone else too). As I say though, at the start of the season they looked like a really good little team, and I like seeing the underdogs do well in their first season back in the Prem (like Portsmouth, Ipswich, Hull, Reading and good old Wigan for example).

In an ideal world, yeah, West Ham and Blackburn for the drop. And while I might live here, I'd love for Bolton to go down just to see the looks on people's faces around here

And as you say, it'll be nice to have Newcastle back in the Prem. I'd love it if Blackpool made the playoffs and came up too - Ian Holloway's an absolute legend, and it'd be great to see him managing at the top level.

Yup. And even if they win that, they've still gotta pick up 6 points from their last two fixtures. Pretty much and impossibility if you ask me.

You're lot will still be fine. All you've gotta do is pick up maximum points from your last games and hope Chelski slip up at Liverpool which, as Urban said a while back, is perfectly possible.

3-0 Liverpool now

Yeah, but the problem is trusting Liverpool to play well. I mean, I think if Liverpool scored a goal their fan would boo them. I can't see the fan support being good. But then again if they want 4th/6th place then the club can't afford to be playing poorly in games just for the fans pride.

Handing United a 19th title and finishing in a position where you play champions league football next season or United finishing 2nd with Liverpool not playing in Europe. The fans said they'd rather see Lolerpool relegated than hand United a 19th title. So I'm not optimistic.

It's their last game in front of the Kop this season. Their fans are not going to boo them.

It's an outside possibility, but I don't thik the 'pool will resort to it - European football's far too important to them. Plus I remember Leeds being in a similar position in the 2002-3 season, where they'd have to beat Arsenal to stay up yet hand Man U the title at the same time. A game they, of course, won.

I guess we'll see eh.
