I must say, I'm not usually a liverpool fan, but I really like what Dalglish has done with the team this season. He's giving the local players who's heart and soul belong to every blade of grass in Anfield, and it's great to watch players being so enthusiastic about playing for their home club.

Well you cant argue with results. They have to lock him in over the summer, surely? Maxi and Suarez have been on fire lately too. I've been impressed with Meireles aswell. It'll be interesting to see what business they do before next season and to see if they can put a challenge together next year.

What will be most interesting in terms of Liverpool is how they play next season when Gerrard is fit again. They've been getting alot of good work from Meireles, Maxi, and Spearing has looked like a gem of a player as well, and I'd assume that next season Dalgleish will want to pair up Carroll and Suarez as often as possible. Add to that the inevitable transfer activity, and I'm not sure Gerrard will walk into the team as often as he has done in the past, there wont be the cries to shoe horn him in to the team wherever he can be fitted in.

So where do all you LFC lovers think you'll finish next season? I've already heard shouts of "this is our year" and "final piece of the jigsaw", but i'm not having it. I heard all that from 1992 to 2008ish. I'm amazed that LFC are sitting up in 5th or 6th place but it has been a strange season. I cant see LFC finishing above the big four. (Man utd, Arsenal, Man city, Chelsea)

They won't at this point, but it's been a hell of a turnaround under Dalglish. If they beat tottenham this weekend they've clinched the Europa league spot, despite having been in the bottom end of the table for so long.

They'll probably beat Spurs as well. Basta*ds. I'm an EFC fan who started this season with high hopes but it all went wrong early on. Gutted! (listening to SystemOfADown)

I don't like the idea of the FA Cup final being played while the Premiership is still ongoing.

It just seems to take away from the importance of the event.

Agreed. The F.A need to sort it out, and sort themselves out.

It sticks in my throat that United look odds on to lift an historic 19th League title (with 2 games left there's still hope they'll fuck it up yet though)

"It has been there for the taking this year but no team has grabbed the chance and the way Man U destroyed Schalke and Chelsea in recent games is to be applauded."
Although I understand the race for the league title is a marathon and not a sprint, I can't help but feel desperately bitter that Chelsea managed to throw away a 10 point lead earlier on in the season and allow that red scum to reverse the situation. The games against Shalke and Chelsea are the only 2 games they've played well in all season and clearly don't deserve to be English champions (for a record 19th time) or play in their 3rd European Champions League final in 4 years.

"It has been a less than exciting league this year though but there has been some highlights."
F.A. Cup semi final: City 1 United 0

"Let's hope that Houllier does decide to leave Villa. Health problems or not, it is a bad appointment."
I wish we had Sir Alex Ferguson at Villa Park!
What's the point really? *sigh*
