I know this is old news but I just discovered one of Atlanta United’s top lads, Miguel Almirón, from last year has been picked up by Newcastle United and wiki says he’s making £21,000,000

That’s some bankroll right there son

We’re not doing so well without him though

The £21m was the fee Newcastle paid Atlanta to terminate his contract, basically the amount that Newcastle bought him for. Almiron won't have got any of that. I'd imagine he'd be on £100,000+ per week, which is still a lot of money of course.

Almiron looks a talent from what I've seen.

Watford vs Wolves, FA Cup semi final on Sunday. Good luck to Wolves, hope they can make it to the final. Wolves have been so good this season, it would be amazing if they could finish it with a major honour and a place in European competition.

Best of luck to Brighton too

We have qualified for the playoffs. Looks likely to be a Brum Derby vs West Brom.

Liverpool just gone one up. I will actually feel sorry for them if they don't win the league. They have lost one game all season and even that might not be enough. Wellin' up ere la.

I started to follow Ajax' journey through the champions league a little, and apparently they will be playing against an English club in the semifinals (Tottenham, I think). Are you following the whole thing?

Yeah, I have liked Ajax for years because of Cruyff and Three Little Birds. I'm glad that they're back dining at the high table of European football and they're the side I want to see win this year's competition. They will need to do it this year because they'll be broken up in the summer and lose key players.

That tie could go either way. I'll back Ajax and we'll end up with the Cruyff final of Barca vs Ajax.
