What do you think of him, how good do you really think he is?

He is a God to us. Hard to put into words how much he means.

Does anyone else find it bloody absurd how football (not soccer, **** off Batty! ) is NOT setting an example with Covid? No face masks on the pitch, plenty of handshakes and hugs, players jumping on top of each other when one scores, and yet you get people like Klopp elbow-bumping and THEN hand shaking? And nobody - nobody - says anything about it!

First of all, Happy New Year mate. Let's hope things get sorted and we can return to the norms as much as possible.

Delighted to see Villa up there, though they certainly deserve it. I think the memory of Liverpool 2 - Villa 7 will always stay with me! Need to hold on to Grealish though and I think that may be hard come summer. It's kind of establishing the old guard again at the top though innit? Man U getting back in the title race (have to hand it to Paperboy), Liverpool on top and Chelsea chasing, with Spurs on the way and Leicester there too. Arsenal not having a good time of it though, and Man City underperforming this season so far. Wonder if they'll be challenging? Interesting tussle between the two halves of Merseyside.

What are your thoughts on the FA's refusal to even consider the circuit breaker, especially with - who is it now, can't remember: Southampton? Everton? Someone anyway - whole club down with CV19? And Allardyce is pissing me off. Did you see how he half-wore his mask? If you're going to wear it, wear it right. ****er was chewing gum under it, ffs! And he would be in the high risk category! I don't think sport, and the Prem in particular, is taking this seriously enough. Players hugging each other, shaking hands, piling on, refs without masks... I foresee a lot more outbreaks in 2021.

I don't want there to be another break in football. I don't know if it's the best thing to do for safety even, unless it's a long break, and then they won't be able to fit the fixtures in at any point. The players need to stop taking the piss and breaking restriction rules.

MU vs Villa tonight Trolls.

Ordinarily I'd say we don't have a shot, but you never know. Then again, the Scum have been getting back to winning ways so it could go either way. If they win does that put them top?

As for the rest, whatever your view on this "take a knee" thing, football should be leading by example and showing people how you need to protect yourself.

1. Masks for all players. Don't ****ing tell me strong fit athletes can't run and kick a ball with a mask on! Don't they do something like that when they have a facial injury?

2. Masks for refs/linesmen. Refs especially, getting in there among the mix.

3. ****ING YELLOW CARD for anyone caught without a mask on the field. NO EXCUSE. You're putting your teammates and everyone else on the field in danger. Do it twice and YOU ARE OFF. **** that ****.

4. Masks for managers and tech staff. Wear them properly too, Allardyce!

5. No touching/celebrations on scoring. Elbow bump, victory sign, some **** like that. Thumbs up. NO PILING ON ONE ANOTHER.

6. No handshakes. At all.

7. MOTD and other pundits call out breaches in covid regs on TV, name and shame.

8. Clubs who break rules get docked points. FTS.

Or just, ya know, don't do sports cause they're not actually important.

Or just, ya know, don't comment in threads you have no interest in and leave those who do to talk among themselves.

I mean you talk all this **** about people who aren't responsible about the epidemic but you still support sports happening at all just cause you like to watch it?

Actually, no. TBH I would prefer there was no sport while this is going on. My idea - which I suggested to nobody, and who would I - was to have the teams compete on a networked/online FIFA-style thing, so they could still play out the games but separately, at home. I'm sure they could have worked some way to get revenue - ads in between or something, or sponsorship - and everyone would a) get their footy and b) still be safe. It wouldn't be perfect by any means but it would have been safer.

I fully support the thinking that if you're going to insist on playing sports in a pandemic then you have to be ****-hot on the regs and make sure EVERYONE, from the chairmen on down, follow the safety rules, otherwise can it until everyone can be less sure of dying for a ****ing game which is all it is in the end. We'll survive, but like, no, they may literally not.
