I hope they have supporters back by then. One thing I never realised is how boring it is watching footy without the roar of the crowd.

Fans will be back by then, fans might even be at the Euros in a few weeks tbh mate.

A summer without tournament football is grim but I think I'll enjoy the winter timing for this. I know its disgraceful.

I hope Qatar restricts travel from American athletes.

Yeah, we'd really be lost without the USA in the World Cup! What would we do? Might as well just cancel the thing.

The US just understand that women's football is the only football that matters. I'm still traumatised by them kicking Holland's ass in the last world cup

Women's football is certainly on the rise. There was a lot of coverage given to the Lionesses last year; they did very well. Can't quite see it becoming as popular as men's of course, but it's definitely coming out of the shadows. There are even regular female pundits now on Match of the Day, whereas before the only woman who would have been there would have been Gabby Logan, presenting, and that probably due to her connection to the football fraternity.

Trolls, was a great night for Villa last night.

Ollie Watkins made his debut for England, came off the bench and scored. Buzzing for him.

And wee John McGinn scored this incredible goal and salvaged a point for Scotland:

Any Scottish midfielder with Mc in their name is world class.

Well Ireland's World Cup hopes are in tatters just two games into qualifying. Lost at home to Luxembourg, ranked 98th in the world.

I looked at Ireland's recent form and they've scored just tree goals in der last ten games

Worst Irish team in living memory.
