A good friend of mine got a job at a Numark and as a Christmas present they gave him a pair of these.

Numark Red Wave DJ Headphones

For over-the-ear headphones for under a hundred $100 you'll be hard pressed to find a better pair. I'm definitely no audiophile, but I loved my test ride enough to go out and buy a pair.

Uprocks, bought on special, thankfully. I still have them in my computer area in my apartment (I seriously wear 'phones where I'm at!) and after playing with the equalizer for Windows (Audio/CD) and my VLC (DVD and CD), they're pretty good for the slashed price...although it's due to a little bit of my adjusting according to my ears. Interesting while listening to very old Exploitation films.

Just got Auvio "Concert Class" - again on special. They are only a slight step down from my Jensens, at least they are good and not just for the price. Played all kind of music, ranging from Procol Harum (the Live with Edmonton Symphony Orchestra album), Ultravox, The Misfits (Evil Live...how's that for a 180 degree turn of Classic Live sets?), Jimi Hendrix, and others. I am able to seriously get back into listening to music once more!

I only use iPod earphones but I'd like to try sennheiser headphones. I heard good feedback and it's relatively cheap. Don't know what model though...

My cheap-o Sennheisers get the job done. Going to get AKGs pretty soon, though, since mine were ganked.

I am using the JVC ones, they are really good. These headphone work very well even when the sound was very loud.

Perhaps somewhat off topic, I have the Bob Marley 'Positive Vibrations' headphones currently and as is inevitable with headphones/earphones they have started only playing in one year when I move and have to constantly alter the positioning of the headphone jack.
Now this is a common problem with all types of headphones, I'm just wondering if any of you guys know a solution of how to fix this issue and get my consistent audio levels back in both ears without tinkering constantly with the jacks position.
Cheers.

I use the Sennheiser HD 558 which I love. For me they are comfortable for long listening sessions. The only thing missing is noise canceling but if I need that I'll either crank up the volume or switch to ear buds.
