hah. well....violin is a beautiful instrument when played correctly. when its not....
theres a whole lota instruments that fall into that category. Accordians, banjos, slide guitar, oboes, english horns, french horn, bassoon, cello, viola......

the only one i know of that sounds bad no matter what is the bagpipes.

I only really play the saxophone.

I've played a lot of the other instruments most people here have. Guitar, banjo, mandolin (one-man bluegrass band!). When I was studying to teach music I taught myself trumpet and the keys so I'd have a nice rounded woodwind/brass/string/keyboard set of experience.

But I only play the saxophone.

haha, I would normally agree, usually they annoy the hell out of me, but on this Neutral Milk Hotel song they have bagpipes, and it actually sounds pretty good.
