Who cares, it's nearly 2011.
And 2011 is definitely hot pink.

MB would look fabulous.

I think Vegan would disapprove because it's hot pink and not regular pink on the grounds that 'hot' pink is demeaning to woman and contravenes health and safety.
After all, we wouldn't want members burning their pretty little fingers, would we?

Hello, all.

I haven't read a single post in this thread, but is there any way we can get a notification when someone posts on our wall? It doesn't even need to pop up on the screen, but just a notification in the upper right corner? I post on some other sites using vBulletin and they have this feature enabled. Thanks...

I think that was brought up before. If I remember correctly, the general consensus was that it's not hard or time consuming in any way to just click the User CP link to check for new notifications.
If you subscribe to threads, you're likely going to be in there a lot anyway.

It's not hard, I just forget and then "ignore" people's posts on my wall for days at a time...

but if you're a user like me who only hits 'new posts' and scrolls through all the active threads you never actually notice anything about the user CP and the whole thing is wasted until you see a comment reminding you it even exists.

now i have to answer a question from Vegangelica from July and one from Dayvan Cowboy from last month.

And it's not like it's intrusive or revolutionary in its nature or anything. It just reads "1 new notification" in the upper right where "private messages" is currently located.

Just a thought...

I don't think that's something the website developers need to work on.

Makes sense. But then again, we've been trying for a long time to get more important things implemented and they either haven't gone through or have been denied outright. I doubt something like this request is going to be addressed.
