They're superior but they suck? lol

You can right click with a Mac. If you have a MacBook, just keep one finger on the touch pad whilst clicking it with another finger. Either that or just get an aftermarket USB mouse with two buttons at Best Buy.

The mice that come with Macs are multi-button as well.

Haha, you're not going to like this;
I don't like wide screens and I got a wide screen IBM For free...

It's really a big, heavy mother****er and you can still pick it up by the screen without the hinges letting go. It's so solid. Runs beautifully too.
This one fel off a table a lot of times. The owner said it was broken, a friend of mine got it, he never bothered trying whether it worked. I bought a (universal) power supply, tried it, works like a charm. It's a brilliant piece of kit this. I just wish it were a little smaller.

Two of my friends have IBM ThinkPads and the screens are both the 14.1" square-ish, non-glossy types.
You prefer glossy then? Everyone I know hates it. I don't really mind glossy screens, altough I do not see the benefits.
I'm not that much into brand new IBM's (well, lenovo that is), but a friend of mine is looking for a high res non-widescreen one. And he only runs into widescreen ones. So I get the idea that at least overhere there are a lot of IBM Widescreen laptops.

They are great computers though, but when someone can get exactly what they want (i.e. what the Vaio offers) for a cheaper price, well they'd go for the cheaper option (the Vaio).
Sure. And some go for a packard bell or even cheaper B-brand laptops.
You get what you pay for, you know.
I rather spend my money on a one year old business laptop by say... IBM or Dell than on a brand new Acer, Compaq or Packard Bell. These second hand machines are built to last. The new cheap machines are built to break down so you buy a new one quickly...

Hahaha, that's exactly how I think about it.
I would LOVE to buy parents a mac. But I don't want to pay the price.
It would solve so many problems...
I bought my mom a Nice P4 2.8ghz IBM Laptop. IBM can get away with P4's in laptops. It has two fans, doesn't make any noise, doesn't get hot at all, it works beautifully and it cost me, wait for it... 60 bucks. Yeahhhh

I think it was even longer ago than that, wasn't it?

Errr... *thinks*.
I don't think so. I will come back and tell you once my iMac comes up from the basement again. Still running 9.2. Haven't had time to reinstall it yet.

I still have a PowerPC. I should check on that.

If it's not disconnected in your basement, you probably should.
To be complete;
I have two iMacs, an old first gen G3 a friend of mine gave me when she got a new one. This got it all started. I have an iMac DV G3 600mhz that I got for free recently and I have an eMac 1ghz. I used to have a Macbook G3, an iMac G5, a 233mhz powerbook and a lot of old PowerPC's. But I got rid of them. I still have the eMac because nobody wants it (altough it works perfectly except for the speakers), the iMac I got from this friend. Her family kept ALL macs they ever bought starting in the mid 80's so me having a mac from them is really really rare. I'll never give it away because of that. The iMac DV was free, so whaddayado.
I've had a lot of iMacs. I just run into them every now and then for a couple of bucks. I bring them home, have fun with the stuff that's on them (I once found a mac from a woman named Barbie, really. She worked at some investigation laboratory. The thing was filled to the brim with personal information and results of tests... Stupid owner. Speaking of which, I have an HD here filled with back ups of customers from the guy who owned the laptop the HD was in. Will hook that up to my PC now ).

That's exactly where it is and the state it's in.

Although it's not quite as bad as it sounds. It's in my office, which is in the basement, and it's actually sitting on top of my desk at the moment. It is disconnected though.
