It's my preference for Soundgarden, compared to Nirvana or Pearl Jam that gets my vote out of these 3 albums. I have Badmotorfinger on the same level as Nevermind, but yeah. Soundgarden all day long between these 3.

After an outstanding 16 votes in total (might be a record on here for a battle) Nirvana scrape it from Soundgarden. Next up courtesy of Jack Pat that child of the 60s are two garage rock proto-punk albums that are well worth the listen.

Black Monk Time is great, but Here Are The Sonics!!! is better, with more memorable songs.

Hard to choose, but I feel the Sonics album loses a bit of originality by having so many rock 'n' roll covers. I'm also a sucker for experimentation, and the Monks do incorporate elements of it in some of their songs, such as "Higgle-Dy-Piggle -Dy," with its noisy, feedback-driven guitar solo. I love the spastic, dissonant keyboard parts and the rhythmic banjo-playing that's featured in some of the tracks, too.

Plus, my avatar sort of speaks for itself (it's supposedly Dave from The Monks)...
