That's right. I came across the 1975 reissue in my favorite record shop during a visit to my old hometown and figured it would be good enough to hold me over until I happened upon an original press.

The minimalist vibe continues... just played the ambient/psybient classic, World of Sleepers by Carbon Based Lifeforms (the album which inspired my new custom desktop theme).

And now I've moved on to Global Communication's epic 76:14 LP.

And next in the queue - Future Sound of London's elegantly organic Lifeforms LP.

Currently listening to a regular weekly radio program I always try and catch: "The Golden Apples of the Sun".

Lots of psych-tinged folk, sometimes very mellow, sometimes slightly scary, but always interesting.

The phrase comes from "The Wind Among the Reeds" by W.B. Yeats -

^^ Correct. And that particular stanza of the poem is generally spoken at the beginning of each episode of the show, and it often appears again during the show in some form. There have been at least three different settings of the poem to music - same lyrics, different tunes.

Good to know! Although I'm pretty sure that Silver Apples was Subotnick inspired since they're so similar and geographically/historically close to one another.
