Sainkho rocks and might be one of my favourite female singers.
Never really dug Adult Themes For Voice.

Night Birds - 3
Leper - 0

With Frownland´s blessing, I´m hoping to revive this thread as I feel there´s plenty more a capella music out there that has yet to be heard.

Just to recap, this is the old sign up list:

Quote:
Frownland
Lisnaholic
Trollheart
DooooownWiiiiithVoooooweeeels
Pet_Sounds
ribbons
Sartre
By strict rotation, ribbons then Satre should be posting, and they are about to be PMed accordingly with a stern reprimand.

But don´t let that put anyone off - new sign-uppers would be very welcome, and will in fact be given priority. If not there is a real and present danger that I´ll post up a couple of songs myself.

I haven't seen Sartre around in forever, and ribbons has been missing for a long time too, so I wouldn't bother and would just go directly to Frownland, who would then be up next. But it's up to you: I just wouldn't hold my breath waiting for replies to your PMs.

It might help if you searched for recent posts by either; I think you'll find they've made few to none.

Thanks for the positive feedback. As you predicted, Trollheart, ribbons and Sartre haven´t reponded so with a clear conscience we can move on...

Actually, it was Frownland who posted the last round of a capella contestants, so would you like to kick things off, Trollheart, or DwnWthVwls ? If not, I´m happy to oblige.

Cool enough. I'll go then.

Here's a totally weird one from Jim Steinman's solo project Pandora's Box. Listen for the hilarious twist at the end!

Pandora's Box "The Want Ad"

or how about some Country? Yee-hah!
Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch and Alison Krauss "Didn't leave nobody but the baby"

Box - 0
3 Ladies - 1

I only pick the 3 Ladies because the first thing is not music

3 Ladies song was nice but I got bored after like a minute.

Pandora's Box was pretty sweet, I enjoy spoken word.

I think it still qualifies does it not? After all, she's not just speaking. If you listen, her words follow a certain rhythm, even creating a sort of melody, like in the lines "The pumped-up jocks and the used-up kids"...

If everyone's unhappy with its qualification I'll replace it, but I think it should be acceptable?
