Default Yo La Tengo

I love everything they've put out but I think Ride the Tiger is my favorite. They kick ass and my lack of writing skills doesn't do them justice.

certainly one of the most underappreciated indie bands ever imo. Been going for over 20 years and still very little people know who they are.. Have most their albums and seen them twice live, both very good shows!

I have a couple of their albums.

I dunno about them though , I have this feeling with them that the ingredients are all there but theres something missing somewhere.

they do have a lot of 'samey' stuff, and some even boring... but they can be absolutly brilliant sometimes too

here's a pretty good example of their glory - Sugarcube - http://www.funtimeok.com/wp/go.php?h...-Sugarcube.mp3

here's another of my fav's live - Autumn Sweater - http://www.ezarchive.com/rbally/Albu...mn_Sweater.mp3

(the whole black session you can hear at

I forgot to mention they also did the best cover of The Simpsons theme tune.

Even better than Sonic Youth`s effort

I saw them at a festival I was at in August, but I'd only heard a couple of their songs at the time.

Anyway, I downloaded Painful recently and it's a great album, full of nice lush songs. I'll need to get some more albums.
