Default A Simple Hello.

Greetings,

I joined MB the other day and have enjoyed reading the wonderful mass of information, opinions, and amateur journalism; actually, some of you write extremely well. It seems there's always a thread to get wrapped up in here.

Moving forward, I'm from Texas, obviously; East Texas to be exact. I'm 29 and am married; we're expecting our first child, a daughter, in February. Monday through Friday, I'm a middle school English teacher. However, I'm not the greatest writer in the world.

I grew up around rock music my whole life, but I've always had a special connection with grunge and post-hardcore. I know, however, consider the following my favorite artists and bands: Radiohead, mewithoutYou, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Explosions in the Sky, The Chariot, Otis Redding, James Taylor, and so many more.

I'm currently making all my music digital with iTunes Match. You can click on my RYM below, but I am nowhere near done. In the future, I plan to purchase a solid turntable and jump into vinyl. Thought ought to be fun.

Thanks for reading my introduction, guys and gals.

Don't Mess With,
Texas

Hi Texas. For not having received a reply to your intro thread, it's very inspiring that you've still posted 28 times. Welcome to MB, dude. I like Radiohead.

Welcome! It's always nice to see people get the feel of the place. What are some of your favourite albums?

The reason I seldom post to these introduction threads is that the vast majority of "new members" are in reality either spambots or people with no real reason to be here aside from trumpeting their own music. You, sir, are a real person and the type of new member we need more of. You participate. I think I represent the entire community when I say that it is very much appreciated.
