One good thing about the modern retail structure is that it's more or less the manager who has to deal with every single instance of BS.

Oh your mad and want to talk to my manager? Certainly!!
If do not want the students listen to the radios instead of pay more attention to their studies and what their teachers are teaching then using the audio jammer at jammerall is a helpful method.

a few of my favorites ...

years ago I was a customer service supervisor at Walmart, and one of those fine days I was in charge of service desk, front end management, and a backup cashier if needed. Yes, they expect you to do all of these things at once while your boss sits on their ass in their office and does nothing.

anyway, it was January - people were returning things they got for Christmas, or things their relatives weren't impressed with. Some lady was returning a DVD/VCR combo unit and I wasn't able to capture the serial number (probably because she bought it a loooong time ago and it was way past returning under policy guidelines) even with manual entry, so I had to wait for my boss (who was the laziest assface I'd ever met).

the customer was getting impatient and she said "just open the register and give me my money back!" and I had to calmly explain to her several times that we were both at the mercy of my idiot boss, and the customer just kept saying nasty things to me until the problem was finally resolved.

surprisingly, she did apologize, to which I said, "oh, I've seen worse" and she was well on her chubby way.

during my time at that store, I'd also been spit on, had things (a lawn chair was really the best) thrown at me, been cursed out over less than a dollar discrepancy, and other such ridiculous things. I'm surprised that I haven't heard of any Walmart employees going on killing sprees.

recently, at my last job (I worked at an unnamed office supply store) some upper-middle class elderly white guy noticed a poster on the wall of three women of color taking a picture with each other, and he said "where are all the white people at? oh, that's right, they're the ones taking the picture because they have REAL jobs"

heaven knows I've got half a million more horror stories from my 10 years of retail, and many more to come, but between those, let's not forget all the destroyed toilets from customers, screaming/pooping (in the jewelry department, at one store I worked in) kids, and other such unpleasant things that come with the scenery.
