Favourite cartoon? (rock, underwater, tunes, show, classic)

Not animated movie. Just cartoon's. Series or one offs. i can see most people saying The Simpsons but I adore :

It's childish enough for the kids to enjoy but it has an underlying subversiveness that adults enjoy too.

Other faves:

Duck Dodgers In The 24 1/2th Century.
Dungeons and Dragons.
Trap Door.
Battle Of The Planets.
Roadrunner.

...and don't tell me you don't watch them-everyone does! Anything out there that I may have missed? I keep meaning to get into Family Guy but never seem to get around to it.

yes I watch spongebob and Ren & Stimpy (both of which have parts kids don't fully understand, like you said above).

Cartoons are the only thing I watch on TV. I like Code Name Kids Next Door, Sponge Bob, Rocko's Modern Life, Looney Tunes(of course) The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Camp Laszlo and The Avatar(I don't know the full name it comes on Nickelodeon). I Hate My Gym Partner's A Monkey and Ben Ten. My favorite is Foster's Home For Imaginary friends.

I love Spongebob. Sadly we don't get many quality cartoons here and I don't have CN. So I guess I'll go with the usual, South Park and Family guy...:\
Does anime count? Monster is pretty awesome...:\

Blasphemy! The whole premise of the show is built upon creatures (two of which are inanimate) who regulary frequent a beach that is underwater. Absolute genius! If you throw in the fact that the theme tune and Mr.Krabbs are voiced by one Clancy Brown, then you get a totally subversive family programme!
