Is it ambient? I always considered it to be post-rock. Either way, They are good. I own Agaetis Byrjun. I thought Valtari was quite good, 3/5 for me.

I honestly think this is their second best album, right after (). At first I wasn't too big on it, because the vibe of this whole album is different than anything else they've done. And I think seeing them live last summer had a lot to do with me coming to love this album. But seeing them perform Varud, Valtari, and Fjogur piano was just... awe inspiring (though not as chilling as seeing them play untitled #8, but I digress). It's a very nice album to lose yourself in. When I listen to Valtari, I can literally close my eyes and drift away into daydreams for the entire song and "awaken" in a haze. For such a simple song, it's incredibly moving. 4/5.
