...Will the last American band to get played on the radio please bring the flag?
Please bring the flag!
Glitter-disco-synthesizer, night school
All this noble savage drum drum drum
Astronauts go back in time
To hang out with the cave people
It's about time
It's about space
It's about some people in the strangest places
Woody Guthrie sang about B-E-E-T-S not B-E-A-T-S
I must not think bad thoughts
I must not think bad thoughts

I like Wreckless Eric's "Whole Wide World," too. The song is nice and jangly.

"Baby Baby Baby" by the Vibrators and "Another Girl Another Planet" by The Only Ones, which you posted, WhateverDude, are also both very pretty. I had no idea they are considered punk!

Ribbons, I hadn't heard "Reconnez Cherie" before you mentioned it, but I find it is cheerful, mellow, and peppy at the same time. Visiting a record shop with that blasting must have been a relaxing and happy time.

It was, Erica -- which is why bought a CD by Wreckless Eric’s ‘80s band The Len Bright Combo (Combo Time!), among other CDs. I need to stay away from that store!
