Default The Immortal Lee County Killers

I don't think I've met anyone who knew of this amazing group before I introduced them. Massively underrated garage punk band with strong delta blues influence.

Anyone know of any punk bands that really capitalize on blues like them, Cows, and The Gun Club?

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

Love me some punk blues. Had two of TILCK's albums downloaded for a while, but haven't listened.

After hearing some of the stuff on this thread, definitely something right up my alley.

The Bloody Hollies are sorta blues punk, but I don't believe they're as bluesy as TILCK.

Also, the very early works of The White Stripes has a LOT of blues influence. (Think their eponymous, De Stijl and some of White Blood Cells)
More garage rock than punk blues and pretty mainstream, but hey, worth a mention.

[edit] Listening to Love Unbolts the Dark right now. Only on the first track, but holy cow, this energy, overdrive and fuzz. I'm lovin' it. Thank you for making me listen to these guys finally.

Thanks for the recs! Hadn't heard of Bloody Hollies but love White Stripes. Glad I could get you into ILCK too, awesome group.
