The genre had it's heyday in the late 90's/early 00's with dedicated labels such as Moving Shadow pushing the genre as far as they could with easily affordable compilations (either 99p or £1.99p)...

I like the first album although it is horrendously commercial. The less said about this years release 'In Silico' the better.
