Nah. It's heavy music for sure, but not in the same way that metal is. These guys would fall under the 'post-rock' category, though unfortunately there's no such section at HMV and the like.

Yanqui is awesome, but it's just not as adventurous or challenging compared to their other efforts. That said, it's still a lot better than anything most other post-rock bands put out.

I can't praise either one of them enough, but I think Lift Yr. Skinny Fists is just a bit better. I prefer it for its more upbeat, uplifting nature, larger scope, and themes.

I hope if they do decide to include vocals, that they're little more than the humming from "East Hastings". Part of the beauty of Godspeed! for me is how expressive and vivid they are without singing.
