Crocodiles and Ocean Rain are great albums, but not quite great enough, and the rest of their material is merely okay.

Very good band, but not an all-time great, IMO, so no.

Yeah, good point. I would say that work more associated with a group, shouldn't be considered for an individual. The Mothers Of Invention music is pretty much associated with Zappa.

Beach Boys obviously a lock to me. As innovative and influential as bands like the Beatles and Kinks, and I think their best music was superior to the Beatles and on par with the Kinks.
